Can’t Afford a Lambo? Build Your Own Out of Wood

Has your child ever begged for one of those fancy little battery-operated cars that are so popular? You aren’t alone. Kids love this fun option to roleplay as adults and cruise around the backyard, or cul-de-sac, in style.

One kid actually asked for the real thing — except he wanted a more exotic model, a Lamborghini. The problem is he was a youngster, and it was slightly out of his dad’s budget as well as the son’s skill level.

But his dad reconsidered (slightly, anyway).

He put his engineering skills and ingenuity to good use, making a small-scale Lambo and naming it the Lamborghini Sian Roadster.

This toy model is scarily similar to the real thing. It’s also the first open-top hybrid in the world, complete with full-scale sound effects matching the real-life Lambo’s V12 engine.

Oh, and have we mentioned how it’s a total eye-pleaser, too? Scooting along with a little pep in its step, it has working lights to give the driver and admirers the full effect. That’s because it’s made from reclaimed, hand-carved wood. It also seats two kids snugly, making it perfect for playdates!
